Bucovice chateau is an unique example of the Italian renaissance style of building north of the Alps. The chateau was build in the second half of the 16th cent. Last adaptations (tower roofs) were carried out in 1853. The chateau halls are decorated with sculptures and paintings from the end of the 16th cent, furniture is scarce.
The arcade courtyard is remarkable. Its 90 columns are decorated with 540 relief carvings picturing battle scenes, coats of arms, fantasy animals and creatures, masks and musical instruments. In the middle of the courtyard there is an early Baroque fountain, the chateau is surrounded by a Renaissance garden.
