The Monument to The Fallen Unconquerable (Polish: Polegli Niepokonani) commemorates the fallen insurgents of the Warsaw Uprising (1944). It was created by professor Kazimierz Gustaw Zemla in 1973 and is located at the Warsaw Insurgents Cemetery.

The monument features a warrior reclining on a mound, holding a bronze shield (the shield is outstretched towards the west - an allegory of an attack from the Germans). The paving stones which cover the mound were collected from the streets of the Wola district. The title of the monument, "Polegli Niepokonani", is carved in one of several granite blocks located on both sides of the warrior.

The Warsaw Insurgents Cemetery (Polish: Cmentarz Powstanców Warszawy) is located in 174/176 Wolska Street in the Wola district of Warsaw. It was established in 1945 and it occupies 1.5 ha.

Approximately 104,000 victims of World War II killed and murdered in Warsaw, including the defenders of Warsaw during its siege by Germans in September 1939, Warsaw inhabitants murdered during the German occupation and the insurgents of the Warsaw Uprising of 1944 are buried here. The identities of most of them remain unknown.
