This turtle-shaped building was the former Native American Cultural Center. The building is currently for sale.
This structure was built in 1981, and is just across the street from the American Falls. The giant turtle is part of the Iroquois creation story, which says the earth was spawned on a turtle's back.
From the street you can easily see the enormous turtle head, with large bubble eyes and open mouth. Further down the street you notice its legs and giant turtle shell. On the satelite imagery you can clearly see the shape of the entire turtle including its tail, also you can view a Native American bird symbol on the geodetic roof surface.
