The owner Mr Bilek has reconstructed this series of peasant village houses, cottages and outbuildings. Colour coordinating the red oxide and white to provide a pleasing effect.
An interesting feature on the main building is the front wall, which during reconstruction was reinforced in it's semi collapsed state and left crooked with a white painted ball in it's center.
The cottage has high arched gable ends and a gambrel type roof. Behind the cottage but difficult to photograph is a chimney in the garden.
Popice lies under the control of the Podji National Park and any building work has to have their approval.
