Madeleine McCann (Leicester, May 12, 2003) is a British girl who disappeared in Portugal, when she was with his parents, brother and sister on vacation in Praia da Luz in the Algarve.
Madeleine disappeared from the apartment where was holidaying with his family on the night of May 3. At the time his parents have put Madeleine and her twin brothers on the bed and were dining 50 meters away with friends at a restaurant near the Ocean Club. Kate and Gerry McCann reported to the police that take turns on checking of the children and that at approximately 21:00 Gerry found that the children were well, at about 21:45, Kate returned to the restaurant and found Madeleine's bed empty and a opened a door and window and reported the incident to police for around 22h. Staff and hosts of the resort, along with the authorities, carried out searches until 4:30 a.m. and the Spanish police and all Iberians airports were notified.
