Aurora is a ghost town. One of the only things that remains to prove that there was once a thriving town here is this cemetery, which sits high on a hill above the site of the actual ghost town. Over the years, the cemetery has been the victim of vandals and thieves, but in recent years there have been some measures to protect the remaining graves from vandals and animals. If you visit, please keep in mind that while there are about 58 markers visible, many graves are unmarked, due to theft, wooden markers that have disintegrated, or other factors.
