The benchmark was found by looking on a topography map and and seeing it listed as BM 4233. It is not located in the NGS database.

I was very surprised to see this benchmark still existing and in very good shape for its age (1954), which means the curb it's imbedded in has survived all these years of road construction and development, a rare thing these days.

Directions to get to benchmark:
If you're traveling south on Hwy 97 in La Pine, the benchmark will be imbedded in a curb at the corner of Hwy 97 and 4th Street intersection.
