Franklin Childrens Garden Bear - Toronto, Ontario - Bear Statues on Waymarking.com

The Franklin Children's Garden in Toronto (visit link) has several bronze sculptures including this one - all by Ruth Abernethy. The sculptures are based on the Franklin the Turtle children's books by Canadian author Paulette Bourgeois.

This piece has a vest wearing bear carrying a basket of berries to the small table at which Franklin the Turtle is sitting. There is a chessboard on the table. Several tree sculpted tree stumps are spread around the table...and Franklin uses one of them for a chair.
