This beach, located about 30 km NW of Lisbon and just a few kilometers from Roca cape, the Westernmost point of continental Europe, is well known by its waves.
For surfers it's a sanctuary, and in the other hand, one must be careful to go for a swim here. Some days the water is almost calm, but mostly the waves are 5 feet or above... well above.
It's a large beach, with plenty of parking spots and a nice hotel on one of its ends. To enjoy the fury of the ocean one wouldn't even need to leave the car. Just park and enjoy.
