An 1891 monument to Hoboken's Volunteer Firemen is located in Hoboken's Church Square Park and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. See (visit link)

At it's base, is another plaque, a tombstone really, which reads:

"'TAPS'
FAITHFUL MASCOT
FOR 15 YEARS
ENG. CO. 35
1963-1978"
An image of a dog is on the left and an image of the Hoboken Fire Department logo on the right.
