Right next to a parking lot off Penn Avenue, in West Reading, PA, this sign marks the spot where the Old West Reading Hotel once stood. It was placed by the West Reading Board of Trade. As you can see in the pictures, it is directly across the street from the West Reading Drug Store. The text on the sign is:

Site of Old West Reading Hotel
A Landmark used for public sales and auctions of livestock. A hostelry of prominence in the borough for 145 years.
