This footbridge is on the Buffalo Trail, where it meets with the Elk Trail in the Dog Run Hollow Recreational Area in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. Small signs with a buffalo (or elk) silhouette placed at this intersection will let hikers know which trail they are on. A trail map is posted here as well.
The trails here are packed dirt, with small rocks/some gravel. When walking on the Elk Trail towards the lake, you will come to an intersection with the Buffalo Trail on the right. This is where the footbridge is located. Cross the footbridge to continue on the Buffalo Trail and find the dam a short ways ahead.
The bridge is metal, and about 4-5 feet over the creek.
Trail Name: Buffalo Trail (at the intersection with Elk Trail)
Approximate Length of Bridge: 20
Obstacle: Creek
Trail Type: Earthen/Packed Dirt
