The Thai province of Lampang lies 650kms to the north of Bangkok. A quiet and pleasant land, a region of agriculture and light industry. The province is noted as the leading producer of ceramics in the Kingdom. The city has a population of 65,000. The province approximately 700,000. It can be reached from Bangkok by train, plane, and automobile (bus also), but few tourists make it this far from the major attractions.
The provincial court building lies a few kilometres to the east of the capital city of the province, in the provincial administration centre, in proximity to other provincial admin buildings, such as the provincial hall. This is the new area, there is a former provincial admin group in the city centre. In design the court building follows the usual Thai style. A large, white, rectangular building, set back from the road. I visited on a weekend and the front gates were closed.
