The Federal style home was built in 1848. It has been owned by the same family for more than 200 years (thus is a Century Farm). In a 2002 TN History article (link), the site was listed as endangered due to construction of the Middle Creek bypass which splits the overall property. This waymark is for the listing which focuses on the house, not the boundary expansion covering the overall farm.

Check out the large number of windows used for lighting at that time.
