This large stone monument is adorned with an plaque that lists the names of the service members who were from Gardner that perished during WWII from 1941-1945. This monument is in the courtyard area between the City Hall and the Post Office. There are several other war monuments in the same area. The area is open to the public at all times, but it is safe to say that it is probably better to visit during daylight hours. This monument is in honor of the service members from Gardner who lost their lives during WWII. The area has walkways and monuments, it is a very peaceful place though it is very busy.
