This mural, which spans the length of the building, is dedcated to the volunteers of Mayerthorpe and the surrounding district that bring life to the community that all enjoy.
The text of the sign reads: "This mural entitiled: Community Canvas, is dedicated to the Mayerthorpe and District volunteers, young and old! These industrious people are responsible for organizing and promoting our spring/summer community events such as the Mudfest, Rodeo, Agricultural Fair, Chuckwagon races, Cymkhana, and many more.".
The mural includes scenes from the rodeo, chuckwagon races, community tug-of-war, farming activities, kids games at the local fair, and community dance. Both young and old are represented in the faces of the various scenes that make up this mural.
The mural is just off 50th Avenue and 50th Street, just east of the town post office that many people drive by every day to pick up their mail.
