The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Olomouc is an archdiocese of the Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic Church in the Czech Republic. Not much is known about the beginnings of the Diocese of Olomouc. It was reestablished in 1063 and in 1777 it was elevated to an archdiocese.
Archbishop Antonín Cyril Stojan (
visit link) , popularly nicknamed as Daddy Stojan, is still highly revered in Moravia and are considered for his beatification. His life motto was "I have, what I gave to others." In his honor, was named a number of institutes, associations, organizations and places, such as the Stojan gymnasium Velehrad, Stojan College in Olomouc, Stojan Square in Kromeríž, etc. In many cities there is also a Stojan Street.
You can find this memorial beside of Pilgrimage Chapel of St. Anthony of Padua near Blatnice village.
