This is mostly for the kids, but you can learn about the water cycle here in Los Angeles County. There are signs all along the 3D map telling you whats there. You do have to pay admission prices to see get up close, but you can take a picture and get credit for it if you come up to the fence in the parking lot.
Scientific Principle(s) being demonstrated: Erosion and Water Cycle
Briefly explain if the experiment was effective for you. Could it have been better?: Yes. All you have to do is press the button to make it rain (water falls from overhead sprinklers). Then you watch the water flow from the San Gabriel Mountains to the rivers to the ocean. It is very cool!
When is the apparatus/experiment available to the public: Open 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Every Day of the Year.
Except during the Grand Prix in April
