This monument is in the community cemetery of Willow Lake, SD. It is situated between the Catholic portion of the cemetery and the Protestant portion.

The verbage faces east and directly behind the monument is a flag pole for the American flag.

Each Memorial Day, Post 113 holds a service by the monument commerating the service of the local veterans.

This monument is a simple granite stone placed on a concrete pad. Other than the verbage on the front and the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary emblems on the front, this monument has nothing else.
