Die Kapelle in Moos dürfte sehr alt sein. Die Wurzeln der Bauernhöfe des Weilers gehen - zumindest von einem Hof - bis zur ersten Besiedlung des Leutaschtals zurück. Die eigenartige Form zweier Fensterlöcher und die auf Holztafeln dargestellten Gemälde mit sehr realistischer Darstellung von Fegefeuer und Hölle lassen auch für die Kapelle ein Alter von mehr als 200 Jahren vermuten.
Die Kapelle mit Glockenturm und Glocke bietet auf ihren Betbänken für 12 Personen Platz. Das Altarbild zeigt Maria als Himmelskönigin mit Christkind, darüber Gottvater, links einen Engel mit Kind, rechts einen Engel mit Flammenschwert und Waage. Links unten sieht man den Hl. Josef, rechts Johannes den Täufer.
Rechts vom Altarbild findet sich ein weiteres zweiteiliges Bild: Im oberen ist der Tod des Gerechten, im unteren der Tod des Sünders mit zwei Teufeln dargestellt.
Links findet man vier weitere Bildtafeln: Himmel, Hölle, Sterben eines Gerechten mit Angehörigen um das Sterbebett. Der Kreuzweg in der Kapelle ist dem späten 18. Jahrhundert zuzurechnen.
Das Betläuten wurde in der Kapelle im Moos bis zum zweiten Weltkrieg praktiziert: Jedes Jahr war ein anderer Bauer als "Kopalla-Moaschta" (Kapellen-Meister) dafür zuständig.
Im Jahre 1961 wurde die Kapelle renoviert, durch mehrere Besitzerwechsel der umliegenden Höfe wurde sie anschließend ein wenig vernachlässigt. 1987 erhielt sie einen neuen Turm, und 2001 wurde sie letztmalig komplett renoviert.
Die Renovierung zeigte, dass sich auch neu in den Weiler zugezogene Einwohner mit der "eigenen" Kapelle identifizieren." - Quelle: (

The chapel in the moss is likely to be very old. The roots of the hamlet of farms go - at least by a court - to the first settlement of the Leutasch Valley back. The peculiar shape of two window openings and the presented paintings on wooden panels with a very realistic depiction of purgatory and hell also suggest for the chapel of an age of more than 200 years ago.
The chapel with bell tower and bell offers at its Betbänken for 12 people. The altarpiece depicts the Virgin as Queen of Heaven with Christ Child, God the Father above, left, an angel with a child, the right an angel with flaming sword and scales. Bottom left you can see the St. Joseph, John the Baptist on the right.
The right of the altar there is another two-part picture: At the top is the death of the righteous, shown in the bottom of the death of the sinner with two devils.
Links you will find four other panels: heaven, hell, death of a righteous man with relatives around the deathbed. The Calvary Chapel is in the late 18th Century Act.
The Betläuten was practiced in the chapel in the moss until the second world war: each year was another farmer as "Kopalla-Moaschta" (chapel master) is responsible.
