"Neo-romanischer Bau mit barocken Seiten-Altären.
Bei der Johanneskirche, die ursprünglich wahrscheinlich eine Spitalskirche gewesen sein dürfte, handelt es sich um eine der ältesten Johanneskirchen in Tirol. Bereits 1274 findet sie erstmals urkundlich Erwähnung, als sie durch einen Felssturz großteils vernichtet wurde.
Von dem gotischen Bau der Johanneskirche ist nur der Chor erhalten geblieben. Die im 18. Jh. barockisierte Kirche fiel 1822 dem Brand zum Opfer und wurde später im neo-romanischen Stil wiedererrichtet. 1831 fand die Neuweihe zu Ehren Johannes des Täufers und Johannes des Evangelisten statt.

"Neo-Romanesque building with Baroque side altars.
At St. John's Church, which originally would probably have been a church hospital, is one of the oldest churches in Tyrol John. Already in 1274 it is first documented mention of when it was destroyed by a landslide for the most part.
Construction of the Gothic Church of St. John, only the choir has been preserved. The 18th Century Baroque church fell victim to the fire in 1822 and was later rebuilt in neo-Romanesque style. In 1831, the consecration was held in honor of John the Baptist and St. John the Evangelist instead.
