"The memorial fountain was donated in 1899 by the Cologne Beautification Association. Occasion was the 100th anniversary of the Silesian poet August Kopisch (1799 -1853), who wrote the ballad of the fairies of Cologne.
It is possible that the story is not over Cologne on the Rhine, but to the village of Colin on the Spree (since 1432 merged with the city of Berlin). Kopisch was there (today Berlin-Mitte) used.
The Cologne sculptor Edward and Henry Renard designed the fountain in the Gothic style of the popular sandstone and wrought iron. A few years ago it was restored, while the figure had the curious Mrs. Schneider (Curious was the tailor's wife) will be replaced by a copy.
The Heinzelmännchenbrunnen stands in front of the brewery early, on the road at the farm, and between Domhotel High Road "- Source:. (
