EN: The canons residences on Domplatz in Arlesheim were built 1682-1687 by various unnamed master builders after plans by Jakob Engel.
After the French Revolution and the end of the prince-bishopric they became private property. The westernmost building today serves as the town hall and the opposite one is the district court. The four buildings and their attachments are listed as a single group.
DE: Die Domherrenhäuser am Domplatz in Arlesheim wurden zwischen 1682 und 1687 von verschiedenen ungenannten Baumeistern nach Plänen von Jakob Engel erbaut.
Sie gerieten nach der französischen Revolution und dem Ende der Fürstbistums in Privatbesitz. Das westlichste Gebäude dient heute als Sitz der Gemeindeverwaltung und das gegenüberliegende als Bezirksgericht. Die vier Häuser und ihre Anbauten stehen als Gruppe unter Denkmalschutz.
