Wat Tham Phousi (numerous spellings exist) is a temple atop Mount Phou Si, which in turn is a mountain (I suspect more of a hill) at the centre of the tourist town and provincial capital of Luang Prabang. The hill top is studied with Buddhist artefacts and imagery, plus, a bell. This bell sits on the approach to the central, Phousi Stupa at the mountain top. The bell has the air of great age, but there is no information available as to its provenance. It is a plain bell, in place to be rung by visitors to the temple. O, yes, 329 steps are required to reach the hill top, plus 20,000 Kip ($2).
