This millstone lies at the centre of a turf maze in Spa Park near Ripon town centre.

The maze was created in 2001 and donated to the town of Ripon by the Rotary Club.
It recreates an historical maze that used to be on moorland above the town until 1827 when the open moorland was subdivided and enclosed with walls or fences.
It is believed that the original maze was associated with fertility rites and was called the Maidens Bower.
This modern maze has an old millstone at its centre. It has a plaque on it showing it was donated by the Rotary Club.
