The brick post office building was built in 1937 according to the date on corner stone at the northwest corner of the building. The supervising architect was Louis A. Simon and the supervising engineer was Neal A. Melick. The post office was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on Mar. 16, 1989.
St. Anthony was founded in 1890 by C.H. Moon and the railroad arrived in 1899.
