"Pfarrkirche St. Jakob
Im 7. Jahrhundert errichteten wahrscheinlich irische Mönche eine erste Kirche im heutigen Ortsgebiet von Strass. Um 1500 wurde die Pfarrkirche St. Jakob errichtet. Der Patron der Pilger, der heilige Jakob, deutet auf die wichtige Position im Verkehrswesen von Strass hin. 1736-37 wurde neben der Barockisierung der Kirche auch das Kirchenschiff verlängert. In the 7th Century Irish monks probably built the first church in what is now the district of rhinestones. By 1500 the parish of St. James was built. The patron saint of pilgrims, St. James, points to the important position in the transport of rhinestones. 1736-37 in addition to the Baroque style of the church and the nave was extended.
