Bronze reliefs are on both main entry doors of Scottish Rite Temple located at 308 Avenue E in San Antonio, TX. The proper right side door depicts George Washington in Masonic garb centered with U.S. shield above. Below Washington, a smaller panel depicts the signing of the Declaration of Independence. On the proper left side door is Sam Houston in Masonic garb with the Texas shield above him. Below Houston, a smaller panel depicting the signing of the Texas Declaration of Independence. In small panels above both Washington and Houston appear to be some Biblical scene involving a group of men confronted by a begger. Additional smaller panels depict the busts of important men throughout history, including Socrates, Aristotle, Plato, Christ, Confucius, Dante, Plutarch, Moses, Solomon, St. John, and other lesser known characters. Each door is about 8 feet tall by 3 feet 9 inches wide.
