In Milton, along Canton Street, is the town's center, with two white clapboard churches with spires. The more northeastern of the two is the First Congregational Church of Milton, which has a bell in the front lawn.

The church bell is simply placed in the front of the building, easily visible from the road. Parking is available around the turnout for the town hall, which is the building behind the gazebo.

The bell is just set in the lawn (maybe raised a little) with a portion of the wooden mount on it. The bell has the following on its face:

"Cast by George H. Holbrook Medway Mass. 1828"

This bell is also mentioned on another web site, for the Chepachet Free Will Baptist Church. They have a listing of all Holbrook bells that they are aware of. Interesting to see that there is a Holbrook bell for both the Congregational and the Unitarian-Universalist Church, which is on the other side of the gazebo.
