In Dedham, near the corner of Sprague Street and Etna Street, is the Capen School, which has a survey disk at the corner nearest the intersection. The NGS text for this disk is as follows:

"DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1965 AT DEDHAM. AT DEDHAM, ALONG SPRAGUE STREET NEAR THE JUNCTION OF ETNA ROAD, AT THE CHARLES J. CAPEN GRADE SCHOOL, SET VERTICALLY IN SOUTH FACE NEAR THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE BRICK BUILDING, 1.0 FOOT EAST OF THE SOUTHWEST CORNER, 63 1/2 FEET EAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE ROAD, 125 1/2 FEET NORTH OF THE STREET AND ABOUT 2 FEET ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE BLACK TOP PLAY AREA IN FRONT OF THE BUILDING."

The face has the following embossed on it:

The disk is in good condition - slight corrosion.
