The Town of Los Gatos just completed a new library building, not far from where the
old library was housed. Groundbreaking occurred for this new library on June 21, 2010 and it officially opened for business less than two years later on February 11, 2012.
This new library is a 30,000 square-foot, two story building that houses 40,500 books and media. The roof is covered with solar panels and the building is LEED gold certified. There is a spacious children's room, a local history section, meeting rooms, periodical reading area with fireplace, expanded computer access and a technology center.
