This Oak tree was dedicated to our first President in 1932 when it was planted in what is now Linn Park in Birmingham, Alabama.

The chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution which planted this tree does not seem to be active now, and I was not able to find any information as to the dedication ceremony or reason the chapter placed it. It is located on the southeast side of Linn Park in downtown Birmingham, near the Linn-Henley Research Library entrance.
The marker at the base of the tree reads:
