This marker is dedicated to
10th Regiment Indiana Infantry in recognition of their service during the
Battle of Chickamauga, fought September 19–20, 1863. The 10th Indiana Infantry at Indianapolis, Indiana April 22–25, 1861 for a 3 month tour of duty. They were reorganized at Indianapolis and mustered in for three years service on September 18, 1861. This is one of five markers to the 10th Indiana Infantry on the battlefield. It marks their location on Sunday, September 20th, 1863, from 8 A.M until 11 A.M.

Short Physical Description
4' square at base and 4'8" high, the marker is a simple rock-faced slab with a bronze inscription plaque set into one side and a peaked top.
