This piece was created by Augustine Filipovic, a Canadian sculpture artist. The Thespis is placed outside of the Theatre Aquarius, given to the theatre as a gift from art philanthropist Irving Zucker. The Thespis is supposedly the first "actor" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thespis) making Theatre Aquarius an apt place for this sculpture.
