A stained glass window and several ledger stones with the Spelman Coats of arms the windows are dated 1578.

The Spelman name is first found in Norfolk where they were seated from ancient times, probably around the Norman Congueat and the arrival of Duke William at HASTINGS IN 1066 AD.
Some of the first settlers to America were James John Michael Spelman who settled in Philidelphia
