In the centre of the Cloistered Garden in the grounds of Canterbury Cathedral lies this cross memorial to those of Kent who died in the Great War.

The cross stands on a stepped plinth and has the following words engraved around its centre:
'TO THE SACRED MEMORY OF THE SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF KENT WHO DIED IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918'
Inside this walled memorial garden are various, other memorials including a stone with the following inscription:
'The streets ring out for every soul that thought and felt and passed through them in weakness and in strength.'
There is also a piece of stone embedded in the wall from Ypres itself:
'From Cloth Hall, Ypres'. This was the scene of a devastating battle.
