Weir Village Station - Taunton, MA - Police Stations on Waymarking.com

In Taunton, near the intersection of Weir Street and Ingell Street, is a substation for the Taunton Police Department.

The door to the station is on the Weir Street side. It is a simple door on the side of the building, with a sign identifying that the Taunton Police Department is there.

I couldn't find any more information about either the substation or the department on their web site. There is a connection to the police blotter, so you can view individual responses to calls. There is a note on the home page that the web site is being redesigned, so hopefully, more will be available later. The main office is on 23 Summer Street.

To log a visit, you must post a photo of you in front of the building described, with your GPS in the photo. No drive by photos.

I have had NO problems with taking photos of Police stations but please respect the fact that some services may be nervous about having their photo taken and inquire as to why... I have found that once things are explained they are more than happy to let me photograph the building, crest, chief... (they are people too!)
