"Canada became a country on July 1, 1867, and one hundred years later on July 19, 1967 Fox Creek was officially incorporated as an Alberta community. Fox Creek had its beginnings as a small service station on a quiet county road. The town now has about seven thousand vehicles going through the area daily. Fox Creek is a full-service community of 2,278 friendly residents. The Town acts as a strong service centre to the burgeoning oil and gas industry. Located just two and one-half hours drive northwest of Edmonton on Highway 43."
