Hands down Jocotepec hosts the nicest park on the west end of Lake Chapala. The city has been upgrading the park continuously for almost 10 years now and the efforts are really beginning to show. People are flocking to the park on weekends. The parking lot which used to be way more that adequate is now just barely able to hold the business.

What was originally installed as a boardwalk type area bordering the lake has now been filled in on the east side to provide even more acreage for the park. There are fountains, playgrounds, a shallow water park area, bridges, picnic tables, a permanent food vendor area, boat rides, kayak rental, swiping, skate board park, adult exercise equipment, the list just goes on and on. Its just a very nice park worth your time to visit.
