The two-story brick building housing the UNITED STATES CUSTOMS AND IMMIGRATION STATION (open 8 a.m. - 12 midnight) is at the north end of Cherry Street.

-- Washington: A Guide to the Evergreen State, page 473

Several things have changed since it was written about in the American Guide Series. In the mid-1990s it ceased to be a government building when it became too small for the US Customs and Immigration Service. It was then moved off of Cherry Street and down Harrsion Street where it continues to serve as an office building.
