McDonald's Leiden Beestenmarkt opende haar deuren in 1979 en is daarmee één van de oudste McDonald's restaurants in Nederland. Centraal gelegen aan een groot plein met gezellige terrassen ligt dit restaurant met ruim 170 zitplaatsen op loopafstand van het centraal station en schuin tegenover de Lido-bioscoop.
Het restaurant is in juni 2008 grondig verbouwd en kenmerkt zich nu door een sfeervolle indeling en stijlvol meubilair in trendy kleuren. De aparte kinderfeestjes ruimte is een noviteit in Nederland. Het speeltoestel, de tekentafels, de computer en magneetborden aan de muur maken het voor de kids een unieke ervaring.
