This memorial was set up here very shortly after the end of the First World War and dedicated on St.George's Day 1919. Carved on it are the names of 48 men of Tollesbury who gave their lives in the conflict. There are a further 16 names of those from the Second World War round the base. The cross is made of timber painted black, the WWI name panels form the upper base, with a lower base forming the name and dedication panels for WWII. The whole is set up on a three set base of brick of three different shapes going from square at the top to circular at the bottom.
