The category requires that I "sell" this destination, but the truth is about all I know about it is that it is there. The Rochester Yacht Club is to the north of it, and the Genesee Yacht Club to the south of it. The Port of Rochester is across the river from it, as is a public boat launch facility. This is Rochester Harbor after all.

So why come here, and not utilize one of those other options? Well, I saw a fishing charter boat "stationed" there, so if you don't have a boat of your own, but want a fishing experience, there's a reason to come. There's a riverside restaurant on the premises, according to the marina's website.

If you have a motor boat (and not a sailboat), perhaps the single best reason to choose this marina rather than one in Irondequoit Bay or Braddock Bay is that there is a Coast Guard station less than 300 meters away, that offers boater safety courses. You can learn how to safely operate your boat without leaving your docking space!
