Tatton's rose garden was laid out in 1913 for Lady Egerton, wife of Alan de Tatton Egerton. The garden is both intimate and feminine. IN order for Lady Egerton to sit undisturbed, gardenings had to be completed by 10am each day. The garden was also used by the family as a recreational area, often bathing in the Lion Pool.

Various varieties of Polyantha Rose are used in this garden. Modern versions of old varieties provide the scent and style typical during the Edwardian era. Many of the Rose garden's artifacts came from another estate property. Rosehene Manor. The cast iron urns near the entrance date from the 1880's.

The walled garden, produced vegetables, can be viewed through the rear windows of the Tea house.
