This is the only station in the downtown core that has a shared station name on both the westbound and eastbound tracks for the C-Train in Calgary, Alberta.

For two kilometres, this in-street section of the C-Train shares the 'road' wth buses and emergency vehicles. It has been a free fare zone since it opened on May 25, 1981.

The total length of the C-Train system is 47.1 km, 5% grade separated, 8% underground. There are 26 major stations with 11 side loading platforms in the downtown core.
