St Joseph Catholic Cemetery is a large cemetery on the west side of Evansville, IN. It is just north of Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery on Mesker Park Dr near the zoo.
This cemetery has approximately 8,000 graves. Many priests, nuns, and monks are located here and it also has the interments of a few famous people.
**Bob Coleman - Coleman was a professional baseball player and manager.
**Russell Lloyd - Lloyd was mayor of Evansville for 8 years
Many other local "legends" are buried here, with a lot of the people that have streets, schools, and other areas named after them are interred here.
There are also several nice pieces of art in the cemetery. A very nice "Stations of the Cross" are also located here.
