This fountain is attached to the HMAS Sydney Memorial on Mount Scott, in Geraldton, Australia. A single seagull is the centerpiece of the fountain where as the 645 seagulls representing the crew that got lost in the battle are inlaid on the steps that lead down to the sunken fountain. The fountain was added in 2009 after the 2008 discovery of the location of the sunken ship. Smith Sculptors are the creators of this beautiful and symbolic memorial fountain which the Rotary Club commissioned.
