Der Eingang der Pfarrkirche Telfs ist ca. 5-6 Meter hoch, oben mit einer Rundung.
Die Eingangstür besteht aus massivem Holz.
In der Rundung oben befinden sich zwei Fenster.
Die übrige Tür ist mit sechs Halbkugeln verziert, die innen mit Kupfer ausgelegt sind.

Kapellenweihe 1113 (älteste Weiheurkunde Nordtirols)- Pfarre zum hl. Georg urkundlich 1233.
Als Altpfarre wurde sie als ecclesia de Telpheri (Thelphis) 1233 erwähnt.
Da wechselt der Name der Pfarre zwischen Peter und Paul sowie St. Georg hin und her.
Ab 1452 wird die Pfarrkirche nur mehr mit Peter und Paul und mit ihren Filialen benannt.
Der 1475 geweihte Neubau wurde mehrmals durch Brände beschädigt (1447, 1550, 1552).
Erweiterungsbau 1666 geweiht,
