A single round faced clock on the town hall tower. Dial is white, gold surrounds, black figures, black hands with gold inserts. Building was originally the Wombwell Urban District Council Town Hall, built in 1897. In 1947 Wombwell became under the authority of Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council.
Wombwell is a thriving township with a good selection of local shops.
