Set in 1931 by U.S.Geological Survey, marked F12. This benchmark was set in a large boulder buried in Newberry pumice. From the junction of Rds. 18 & 21 go west about 200 feet to OHV Trail 32, then about 100 feet south along trail. Benchmark is about 20 feet east of trail. The OHV trail follows the old Bend to Fort Rock Road which parralled the Brooks-Scanlon logging railroad (now Rd. 18).
Condition: Mark found in good condition
